ABOUT ME

   Meet the artist, KBELL Handcrafted Art also known as Kimi Braddock. Kimi has been creating art through painting, sculpting, sketching, and drawing for many years. In her early years, attending a painting school in Massachusetts and participating in the studio design program for two years was just the beginning for this creative soul. Feeling like something was missing, KBELL started exploring different projects that brought joy, including painting raw tiles, making furniture, wall hangings, trivets, and magnets.
   
   Searching for another creative outlet, KBELL discovered Creative Memories, a scrapbooking and consulting business, which they pursued for a few years while continuing painting as a hobby. Currently, Kimi prefers working with acrylic paints and vintage beads, intrigued by the stories behind each bead and the history they carry.

   For KBELL Handcrafted Art, inspiration comes from various sources, but art also serves as a way to unwind from a demanding full-time job. When creating art, KBELL finds themselves in a state of relaxation and escape. Their artwork often includes positive messages and bright colors, as they believe these elements bring light, smiles, and can intrigue potential to inspire others into feeling a sense of calm and happy in their daily lives. Although they acknowledge that bright colors may not be everyone's preference, they continue to incorporate this style into their creations.
 
   Kimi draws inspiration from various art styles that have influenced their perspective and sparked curiosity. Currently, they’re particularly intrigued by Romeo Britto’s bright colors, fun style, and intentional messaging. KBELL also strives to convey a message through their art, while maintaining a sense of freedom in her creative process.

   She works on her art during downtime, avoiding a rigid schedule to keep it enjoyable. However, coming up with new ideas can sometimes pose a challenge. To overcome this, KBELL has been experimenting with bark blocks, taking close-up photos and hand-tinting them with paint. This allows them to play with both bright, unconventional colors and more natural hues that reflect the object's original appearance.
